Bremen is famous for being a more or less “left” city (speaking in political terms), thus most of the places in the Viertel have a liberal and chilled atmosphere. When the nights are warm, most young people that hang out in the Viertel, actually just sit outside on the streets. It pretty much depends on whether you like this kind of atmosphere, but it is worth a try! Watch out for the electoral wards "Ostertor" and "Steintor" here.
How to get there:
From Hauptbahnhof, turn left in a street called “Am Dobben” and just keep on walking straight. After 10 minutes, you are in the Viertel.
Talking about the left-ness of the Viertel, maybe you could cite some election results of the Greens and the Lefts, as there were quite impressive. Watch out for the electoral wards "Ostertor" and "Steintor" here:
