First air attacks on Bremen. The assault is unexpected. There is no air raid warning though. There is barley anyone on the flak emplacements in and around Bremen.

The construction of the U-Boot-Bunker Valentin begins in Farge. Hundreds of foreigners are forced into working for this purpose. For the time being they are accommodated in the Neuengamme concentration camp at Bahrsplate.

Bremen is under British occupation („Amerikanische Exklave“ = AE = a name, retained until 1956). "
